Tribolt

Homebuilt Non-weld Recumbent Tadpole Trike

The first trike I bolted together.
Initially I made it as much a Raptor25 clone as possible. I didn't expect it to turn out that well. There were a few issues, most noticeably the tremendous brake steer. You really have to push the grips in order to brake in a straight line. On the flats not a big problem. But in hilly terrain it can be quite dangerous. In that case the front brakes should be linked. Handling is pretty good. Caster is much more important in order to have a useful trike.

I still own this trike with and it has undergone significant changes. I had to figure out a way to achieve centerpoint steering without the use of professional machines.
